The Storm made the trip to Newfoundland this weekend and faced a very tough Saint John's Edge Squad featuring former Boston Celitc Glen Davis and reigning NBL MVP Carl English in a battle both on Friday and Saturday.
In the first game the Storm started out slow out of the gate, but cut the lead to 3 at one point in the fourth quarter. They played catch up the entire game and ended up losing 112 - 104.

On Sunday night the Island squad had more of a back and forth game, but ended up coming up short in the fourth quarter after suffering from some foul trouble, and lost the contest late in the game going down 123 - 116 to the Edge.

Leading the charge for the Storm was Sampson Carter and Russell Byrd who averaged 26.5 and 25.5 points per game respectively over the weekend stretch. The group will look to take the road to Ontario this upcoming week and get back in the win column when they face Sudbury and Windsor.

You can also catch the Storm at home on December 26th at 2:00 pm when they face the Saint John Riptide. Click here to purchase tickets for that game which looks to bring lots of excitement to the Eastlink Centre!
