CHARLOTTETOWN - The Island Storm has announced Monday the signing of former NCAA Division I forward, Carl Hall.
The six-foot-eight Cochran, Georgia native spent two seasons with the Wichita State Shockers, making an improbable run to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament by defeating teams such as the number one ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Hall was traded from the Niagara River Lions two weeks ago before the NBL trade deadline.
Storm Head Coach Tim Kendrick says he is very happy to add Hall to the roster for the stretch run to the playoffs.
“He comes from a winning NCAA program at Wichita State and we really believe he can help us down the stretch and hopefully beyond.”
Last season with Niagara Hall averaged 15 points and 5.7 rebounds in 24 games played.
Hall could be a big contributor for the Storm for the rest of the season, said Kendrick.
“He adds a real low-post scoring threat and is capable of defending the size throughout the league.”
The Storm is on the road for the next four games before returning to the Eastlink Centre on March 18 against the Cape Breton Highlanders at 2 p.m.
