The Island Storm has announced the indefinite suspension of Brent Jennings on Wednesday for conduct detrimental to the team.
“This is a personnel issue in which we don't feel is appropriate to specifically comment on at this time,” said Storm coach Joe Salerno. “We feel Brent’s misconduct against our team policies warranted the suspension. It's extremely unfortunate for this to occur as we are about to enter the playoffs, but as an organization we stand firm that we will hold our players to a high standard on and off the court and these values are not something we would ever compromise.”
Jennings joined the team prior to training camp when he was traded from the London Lightning along with Renaldo Dixon for Nick Okorie.
The Storm continues its push for third place with two big games this weekend. On Friday the Halifax Hurricanes will be in town for a 7pm game and Saturday it’s the Moncton Miracles who will face the Storm at Eastlink Centre, that game also starting at 7pm.
