It was perhaps the most exciting finish of the season, but overtime wasn’t the winning ingredient for the Storm as they fell 118-115 to the top team in the Central Division.
The London Lighting, on the second game of its three-game road trip, was able to silence the Storm with big free throws late in the game.
The Island was led by Chad Posthumus, who had a monster game scoring 28 and added 14 rebounds. Rashad Whack added 24 points in the loss.
For London it was Warren Ward who had a big night, he had a game-high 32 points and 13 rebounds.
The game went back and forth throughout with no team being able to gain any type of a lead. In the end it was a big bucket by Brent Jennings that sent the game into overtime.
The Storm has six days off before taking the court at Eastlink Centre against the Saint John Mill Rats on April 15 at 7 p.m.
