Storm win first game of back-to-back

The Island Storm topped the Moncton Miracles on Friday night at the Eastlink Centre by a score of 117-107.

Rashad Whack led the way for the Island with 19 points and seven assists while Brent Jennings chipped in 18 points and three rebounds.

In the loss Dexter Strickland was a bright spot for the Miracles, with 20 points and six assists.

Despite early foul trouble in the first half, the Storm still went to the locker room with a lead.  

Making things close in the end, the Miracles trimmed the lead of what was once 14 at one point trickled down and became three before a late run to pull away.

With the win the Storm improve to 11-21 while the Miracles fall to 13-18.

The Storm are back in action tomorrow night as the London Lightning make their first and only trip to P.E.I. this season. Nick Evans and Nick Okorie make their returns to the Island in the game.

Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
