Storm take down NBL Champion Windsor Express

Released: January 15, 2016

The Island Storm defeated the Windsor Express 107-102 on Friday night in front of a loud crowd of supporters on a cold night in P.E.I.

Brian Addison led the way for the storm with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while big man Nick Evans added 21 and 10.

In the loss former Storm guard Brandon Robinson put up 27 points of his own to go along with 10 rebounds.  And Chris Commons contributed 31 and 13.

A couple of clutch steals from Gary Gibson and Brian Addison clinched the win for the Storm inside the final minute. Gibson once again sealed the deal with two huge free throws with four seconds left on the clock.

The Storm improves to 4-5 in the early season. They will take on the newest member of the NBL tomorrow night when the Niagara River Lions come to town. Tip off is at 7:00 at the Eastlink Centre.
