CHARLOTTETOWN- He’s Canadian, he’s athletic and he’s ours! The Storm is excited to announce the signing of 6’5 forward, Funsho Dimeji!

From Malton, Ontario, Dimeji started his OCAA career as a member of the Humber Hawks, then transferring to the Loyalist Lancers for two seasons, before joining the Durham Lords.

During his time with the Lords, he was named “Men’s Basketball MVP” and was a time-time Ontario Colleges Athletics Association first team all-star.

Averaging 15 points per game and 8.3 rebounds in his first year at Durham and 16.1 points and 10.2 rebounds in his second year, Funsho is a skilled and tough player at both ends of the court.

In the 2018 National Basketball League of Canada Season, Funsho was drafted eighth overall by the Sudbury Five.

The Storm is really looking forward to seeing what Dimeji can add to the team this year!
